Over the past few years, food insecurity has been increasing globally due to the covid 19 pandemic, climate change, economic downturns and conflict and a number of other intersecting factors. Help communities learn more about racial inequities and food insecurity, including the role that inequity in assets and wealth plays in increasing food insecurity risk for communities of color. To truly end hunger, we must meet immediate needs while building sustainable, evidence based strategies that address the underlying conditions that create food insecurity. this means ensuring families have food today and advancing policies that prevent hunger tomorrow. Community members discussed 28 barriers and 17 solutions to eating fresh fruits and vegetables (ffv) and rated them on their impact. knowledge and education barriers made it more difficult to eat ffv than access or logistics.
