Twc more or less has to roll this out next year. their new navigator is written to run on ocap and goes hand and hand with the fcc's requirement that they stop buying new boxes with built in conditional access methods and start buying ones with cablecard slots. Following installation last friday of the dcx3600 m by twc the arc has not worked. at first i thought it might be a bad hdmi cable so i replaced all of the cables in my set up with certified hi bandwidth cables. i then tried resetting both the preamp and tv and also tried all possible combinations of settings on both. no luck. Twc put switched digital into place for a number of digital channels a couple months agio. that coincided with when my problems started, too. so, there's no signal problem, no cable box problem, just a jumble of digital channels that decide to switch to other programming at will depending on some mad scientists' algorithms and the moon phases. Got the latest stb from twc (samsung smt h3362, non dvr) and i was hoping to hide the unit behind my tv that will be hung on the wall. there is no ir port on the back like i hoped, just the usb and 1394 jacks. is there anything i can get to easily hide this thing and still control it w o issues?.
