Throttle Not Working Aircraft Microsoft Flight Simulator Forums For the fact that in altitude mode, nothing happens until about 75% throttle should be expected, although it should be about 60%, so 50% is to stay at the current altitude and then a deadzone above it before it starts to climb. For tecs to work properly, the attitude control, especially the pitch, must be well tuned beforehand. it looks like you haven’t done any autotune at all, because the roll and pitch tuning values are all at the default settings and the pitch control in fbwa is also very poor.

Throttle Is Not Working In Altitude Flight Testing Log Analysis The only time to back off the throttle in cruise in a normally aspirated engine would be 1) if you are flying below 3000 feet, where a full throttle would give some pretty high manifold pressures or 2) you're just out flying around to sightsee, where reduced power and slower speeds are called for. As higher pressure indicates low altitude, it would be normal to see altimeter goes down when propellers just started. one way to solve this issue is place a sponge or stack of tissues around the sensor but not completely blocking the sensor. But in the case where i throttle hard on takeoff and switch immediately to alt hold, it causes instability in altitude. i wonder if the same problem occurred here, where we accidentally took off in rtl, which ramped the motors up very quickly and accelerated up very fast. On several occasions, which i believe coincide with waypoints being completed the throttle control abruptly get set 0 zero for a short time. see 26:10.75 for an example.

After you’ve stabilized your airplane in this level flight condition, advance the throttle and raise the nose to maintain the test airspeed until you are stabilized in a climb at full power (or climb power or maximum continuous power and rpm, if appropriate) at the test airspeed. You can see that the altitude and desired altitude and throttle don’t correlate. just not sure what else to look at in the logs to see where my issue may be so i can address and re test. Throttle stick is at mid position when switching to altitude control and the copter shoot up in the air, lowering the stick to zero doesn’t help and the copter is not descending. The issue is caused by a setting, deep inside microsoft flight simulator 2020, that provides ‘take off assistance’. when this option is set (which it is by default since the update back in mid 2021) the simulator tries to override the users throttle and some joystick movements on take off.
