Bon Hotel Rustenburg Rustenburg Hi, i am planning to buy a house he hague, are there any particular neighborhoods that avoided by the locals? (high crime rate, homophobes, etc). I'm from rustenburg and thinking of moving to midrand. i've heard about how awful the crime is in johannesburg and wanted to hear from people who live there if it's truly that bad? like, is it so bad that even if you live in a gated estate it makes no difference?.
Anc Rustenburg Avoid rustenburg at all costs. too many potholes, crap speed bumps which you dont see until it's too late and aggressive beggars selling baby turtles at the fourway stops and speed bumps. I've been seeing some listings in the areas of rustenburg, oostbroek and schilderswijk, but i'd be interested in getting a better understanding about them. especially schilderswijk, as i see a lot of conflicting info about it, though everyone seems to agree it's a rather impoverished area. If you want to break it up, then a hotel stay in rustenburg is a good idea. for planning, i estimate that the drive from or tambo airport to hartbeespoort will be about 1 hour (traffic should be light, due to december period). i would take the r24 > n3 > n1 > william nicol > r512 >n4 route.
