This paper introduces a novel, lossless image compression algorithm integrat ing improved fractal coding and a robust encryption method based on a new hyperchaotic system, irreg ular block permutation, and non adjacent diffusion. An image coding scheme using partitioned iterated function systems (fractal codec) is presented. it extends the usual block based algorithms with quadtree partitioning by splitting with arbitrarily shaped masks.
