Texturing Blender Export Incorrect Textures With Obj Blender Stack Hi. i’m using the new blender 3d version 2.83.4. i’ve also tested this with v2.83.3, v 2.82a. i add a cube mesh. go to edit mode. select all faces. unwrap faces. select an image in the uv editor. now, i’m exporting this a an *.obj file. it works. but the texture link is not saved in the *.mtl file. my example *.mtl file looks like this:. Problem in blender exporting the model with its textures (.fbx or .obj) hello everyone, i've been thinking about this for a while and i can't find a solution, it must be something simple since no channel stops at this.

Texturing Blender Export Incorrect Textures With Obj Blender Stack Blender imports obj files with textures just fine with blender internal renderer as the active renderer. but importing obj files with texture while cycles is the active renderer is currently not supported. Geometry looks (mostly) great, but some texture issues are there (some missing, some alphas not working), and objects distributed with geometry nodes don’t show up at all. But then when i want to import my .obj into blender just to see if it works, it always adds me texture coordinates and mapping nodes on my texture with weird parameters on y location and scale. From what i've read online, it means i'm missing a texture. i tried the solution of going to "file" then "external data" then "find missing files", but blender can't find it.

This way you can control mapping of the texture, as a texture coordinates use uv. remember to unwrap texture in uv editor.
