After doing what they said and turning off the console ,on reboot no more ps3 system or stuck in a loop were by asking to update to 3.56fw i do think there's a problem now with the hdd being formatted in the first place ,its not letting the system access the hdd to rebuild or anything. I’ve been trying to mod my ps3 slim (cech 2504b) but i didn’t want to lose the current data that is on the 320gb drive installed, so i thought of installing a 1tb drive lying around at home while keeping the old 320gb drive with it’s content so i can swap between the drives in the future. When i go to install the update, it keeps coming back as "corrupted data 8002f225." i've checked everything from a z, and even tried installing through safe mode, and no luck.
