Sound Coming Out Of Gpu Very Noisy Linux Nvidia Developer Forums For a long time until recently, when i log in, there’s this low frequency humming noise constantly on. the only way to get ride of it is by settings → sound → output, click test speakers, then hit test on front right, front left. I recently got this server with two a10 nvidia gpus. this high pitched noise is coming from it. i just want to know whether it is normal or not. thank you.

It starts cancel noise only when i set it to max, so if 90% or less it looks like it doesnt cancel it at all. i clearly can hear every noise (like keyboard and echo). The problem occurred after dist upgrade’ing from debian 11.x to 12.0, keeping the same kernel version and nvidia driver version as before. so i suspect there is something wrong in user land, primarily. this kernel is custom built, but audio via monitor worked pre upgrade. Seeking help fixing buggy sound and driver issues with nvidia gtx 1060 on linux mint 22.1 for stable gpu performance.

Anytime i am watching a video or listening to music, if i am using hdmi audio and something causes powermizer to change levels up (not down) the audio cuts out, and it’s a clean cut, not crackly or staticy.
