Solved Viewport Scale Autodesk Community
Viewport Scale Autodesk Community Solved: i have multiple drawings in model space and when i scale the viewport in paper space it is scaling all drawings in model space. After doing a little bit of troubleshooting, i have found that every viewport scale works correctly with the exception of 1:200 and 1:300. when you type it in as 1:200 or 1:300, it zooms in so far that you cannot see what is drawn in model space.
Solved Viewport Scale Autodesk Community It appears to me that the viewport scales still take into account inches in a foot (the factor of scale of a typical of 1:20 plot). is there a way to set it all up such that i can put in a unit such as 1:400, plot this guy, and then use my hand scale at 1:400 and read correct dimensions?. I have a drawing sent to me by a client, its a converted pdf. the pdf is scaled 1:200@a1, checked with a scale rule. the dwg file, being a converted pdf doesnt come in to cad at the correct scale, so i've scaled it up to match the pdf dimensions. After creating a custom viewport scale in an autocad based product, despite the scale being used on the viewport, it does not display properly in a field created:. When you work in a layout, the scale factor of a view in a layout viewport represents a ratio between the actual size of the model displayed in the viewport and the size of the layout. the ratio is determined by dividing the paper space units by the model space units. for example, for a quarter scale drawing, the ratio would be a scale factor of one paper space unit to four model space units.

Viewport scale list is greyed out in the status bar and cannot be accessed in autocad. to resolve the issue, copy and paste the drawing into a new drawing. Steps to fix the issue for a corrupt layout: create a new layout. place a new viewport in the layout with the desired scale. for the page setup change the plot scale to use 1:1. Solution: to work around this issue: type in scalelistedit on the command line and select enter. remove the equivalent scale from the list. note: in the example above, remove the 1:16 scale. Solved: i create a drawing in model space with the annotative scale at 1"=40'. when i open a viewport the drawing is unreadable due to scale.
