Solved Text Appears Above Text Frame Adobe Community 13059554 The only reason i can think of for this to happen is a baseline shift. this is a character setting, so the text has to be selected. if you don't see it: post a screen shot with the selected text and the character panel. baseline shift is the control marked below. all characters must be selected. jane. When i copy text frames and paste them within the same canvas, same page, same file, suddenly, there's a space above the text, sort of like a top margin or spacing before the paragraph, but nothing was changed.

It looks fine there and even doing a print to pdf keeps the text normal. the issue occurs when we open it in adobe acrobat pro. the text seems to have jumped to the top and overlap each other. see jumbledtext image for reference. I was looking for the object as it appears above the paragraph that has the frameabove property set. more specifically, i need to know its vertical offset on the page. if there is another way to know the vertical offset of a paragraph on the page (in the text frame) that would work, too. When working with text, it can be frustrating to encounter situations where the newly added text appears behind existing boxes or elements and cannot be easily brought to the forefront. this issue is reminiscent of the challenges faced in software like adobe indesign.
