Solved Simulation Local Mesh Control Not Functioning Autodesk Community Since the last update t he slider in the local mesh control dialog disappears at some point while working with the simulation module. at the beginning (of the day) the slider is visible and mesh generation works fine with and without local mesh controls. When i apply a mesh control and then generate the mesh it does not change the mesh size. at first, i thought it was a visualization problem but have realized it is not changing the mesh for the analysis.

Trouble Fixing Mesh Issue With Local Mesh Control Autodesk Community I've been working on a model and when i'm trying to do a static simulation study, this error message keeps on popping up. i've tried to solve all the geometric problems, at least whatever i knew of, but still end up doing no good. Have not been able to get any assemblies modified with the bad releases to mesh properly! will autodesk take any action to address these bugs in the latest updates?. If i use local mesh control and decrease the element size just in the radius, the max stress increases. if i make the element size even smaller the max stress will continue to increase. The simplest approach is to refine the mesh globally until successful. localized mesh refinement can help with localized complexity in geometry. geometry complexity can be the difference in size between the smallest surface feature and the largest. it can also be dependent on the number of features. even if using simple geometric shapes.

When i opened it in cfd the output bar saying that "meshing failure may result with default autosize settings". and also in the material assigned, there a lot of rotating region came out. could you suggest me what to do? i am not sure where the problem is. In the latest release, simulation mechanical 2015 r1, there is the option to individually remesh parts in instances where an unmatched mesh is not desired or generating a match mesh prevents the model from successfully meshing. When experiencing mesh failures in solidworks simulation, we can resolve mesh errors using the mesh failure diagnostics tool and mesh controls. After digging through the sw simulation help files, i switched to curvature based meshing and the need for the mesh control went away. the model is a casting and the problem area was in a tricky corner.
