Simply open the light fixture in the family editor, and draw a white model line from the fixture to the level line. this will cause the cut line to cut through the white model line and then show up on the floor plan. it should be white so it will not show up on the screen or on a plot. To resolve this issue attempt the following suggestions: in the view properties, check if underlay is set. turn the underlay off. if issue still persists, check the view range settings for the view. adjust the top plane, bottom plane, and view depth as required. I have some random family objects (i.e. revit cabinets, revit city shelves, etc.) that i have placed on one floor of my structure but show up on the floor below also.
