Solved Problem With Transparency Autodesk Community In this week's video, we are learning about how to set transparencies in autocad, including solving mutliple issues where a transparency won't plot for you in autocad!. You can change the display setting so that the non editing components do not become transparent. go to tools > app options > display > inactive component appearance > change opacity to 100%. It all depends on what viewport you are last in. the problem is autocad when assigning transparency to a hatch applies it as the hatch transparency level. so whatever viewport you are in, if you regen, that is how you will see all the hatches. To set the correct object transparency, enter a value between 0 and 90 in the object properties. if the transparency settings are done with the screening inside the plot style table, then this screening has no effect on model space transparency.

I made an experiment if the door transparency will work in the shaded elevation. i created a simple model with 4 walls and nested the glass panel into the door family loaded to the projects. I guess i accidently changed something in fusion. all my projects show the outline but are completely transparent other than that. i can't figure out how to get the appearance to show. i've attached a copy of the file. please help me figure out what i need to do to fix this. When plotting transparent objects from autocad products or exporting them to pdf, they come out solid and without the transparency, even though everything is correct in the drawing. While copying or creating new objects in autocad, they appear to be the wrong color faded and or transparent translucent. the cetransparency (system variable) has been changed from its default value (bylayer) or an override has been set in the properties dialog while no objects were selected.
