Solved Opening Illustrator Files Duplicates Linked Images Adobe
Solved Opening Illustrator Files Duplicates Linked Images Adobe Hi all, when opening multiple illustrator files with large linked images, illustrator seems to replicate and position (and scaled) images from within the file, sometimes even duplicating existing links. Illustrator asks for you to relink all of your files, even though they were linked from a specific destination on your drive that has not been altered or moved.
Solved Opening Illustrator Files Duplicates Linked Images Adobe On some files, on open, i receive an error regarding linked images and when trying to resolve, illustrator adds multiple copies of the same linked image without actually fixing the original images. it'll add linked images into locked layers where there were no images. When i use illustrator on files that have a linked image, the same linked image keeps reappearing over and over again to the file. when i leave the file open, the linked image duplicates itself and i come back to 10 layers of the same linked image in the exact same location. I'm using the latest version of illustrator cc. i've run into a problem where i'm trying to relink multiple images from the same folder but it seems the only way i can do this is by manually relinking each image one at a time (even though all links are highlighted when i click the relink button). Hi, so i see the latest version of illustrator still doesnt treat multiple instances of the same link as indesign does. that is if i want to relink 50 instances of a single file i need to go through each and every link and manually replace them why dont you make it function the same as indesign in that i can chose to relink all instances at once or chose to relink the individual files as i.

Then open the linked files palette (under window), select one image and ‘relink’ it to your duplicated folder, the other images in your file should relink automatically. If you've embedded your file in the illustrator document and later you want to link it with the source file so that the changes reflect automatically, you can unembed it. Where an image is used multiple times (the same image), illustrator asks me to relink it for every instance of the image, instead of realizing that i just pointed it to the file in question.
