Solved Not Able To Open Cad Files Autodesk Community Open the model in fusion 360, select the file menu, then export and save as a f3d or f3z file to your hard drive. then use the attachments section, of a forum post, to attach it. Autocad web doesn't support the recover command and autocad web can't open this drawing as it is. i was able to run the recover command in autocad mac and this drawing had quite a few errors. once it opened i saved it to a different name, uploaded it to autocad web, and opened it successfully.
Solved Files Do Not Open Autodesk Community Hi all, i have a cad plan which seems to be pretty simple, but i think because of multiple copies of x refs within the file the file does not open in autocad and hence modifying, editing and updating becomes difficult. Ps: even the forum denied my file saying it's not matching with the extension dxf, so i had to change it to .txt in order to be able to attach it. ps: i surfed through the forum trying to find a dedicated autodesk viewer topic but couldn't find. if here is the wrong place to ask, please advice the correct topic. Solved Files Do Not Open Autodesk Community I figured it out. auto cad web app doesn't work with internet explorer edge. i down loaded chrome and it works fine. its awkward and limited but it seems to work as intended. I am trying to open a file that i was working on yesterday. when i go to open, i receive an invalid file error. i tried to rename the bak file and i get the same error. i have tried recover and recoverall with no luck. i hope there is a fix that i haven't found.
