Solved Inventor 2013 Crashes Upon Assembly Update Autodesk Community Now every time i open one of my three major assemblies i get a message that changes have been made to some components (see attachment) and are asked if i want to update the assembly. In your project file, under the options, set the "using unique file names" to no. with it set to no inventor won't search for the file, instead your assembly will open but with unresolved links. then you can quickly point them to the file if you know where it is.
