Solved Dxf Export Problem Autodesk Community The only reliably way we have managed to deal with our issue (old laser software not reading fusion dxf output) is to first open the dxf in inventor and then save again in another, older version of the dxf format!. I was in a rush and had exported a 1m x 1m sheet metal sign as dxf and sent it to our supplier without looking at the dxf file first. when i got there it was already painted and it was missing half of the cutouts on the logo it looks perfectly fine in the flat pattern but in the dxf it's missing.

Solved Dxf Export Problem Autodesk Community Hi i am using the export > 3d > dxf function in sketchup pro. when i test the resulting dxf file in the autodesk viewer, i get a “design is empty” message. This worked and fixed the problem. i have also discovered that this seems to be a specific problem between autodesk trueview (used by our laser company) and dxf's of drawing views created in solidworks. When i export as dxf, the dimensions are all wrong. if i place a part on the drawing in fusion at say 1:2 scale, add a dimension and it's 400mm, that dimension label will show as 200mm in the dxf. This issue only happens on dxf export, and it works well in dwg export. before the fixing, please use autocad dwg simplied dwg export as a workaround. thanks.
