Solved Part Sketch Not Showing In Assembly Autodesk Community

Solved Part Sketch Not Showing In Assembly Autodesk Community The sketch is not included in the derive feature, which means there isn't any association between the derived sketch and the source sketch. as a result, any change to the source sketch is no longer propagated to the derived sketch. I am exploring working on a top down assembly model. it was fine, but all of a sudden, i realize the master sketch inserted in the current part (weldment), not updating. not sure what went wrong. i rather like to know how can i get the derived entity updating. please help. thanks. Solved: hi! i have started a new .ipt and saved it. when i use "derive" to re use a sketch from another .ipt only 1 sketch in the dialog. This has worked well in the past but now i am getting weird issues when the derived sketch does not update when i modify things in the ssp part. i have used both complete rebuilds without success.

This has worked well in the past but now i am getting weird issues when the derived sketch does not update when i modify things in the ssp part. i have used both complete rebuilds without success. I think the issue here is that if only the block, not the other sketch geometry, is allowed to be derived by itself, the sketch solving behavior could be inconsistent. My design requires that i bring in my graphic objects (logos and text) from a separate part file that is shared among other parts. i can successfully bring the graphic part in as a derived part and extrude its features in my parent part. Users reported that a specific multibody part that contains derived components does not show all components on an inventor drawing in all model states when a sketch driven pattern was used to create additional bodies. The work around to this issue is to select the derived component, select "edit", click ok in the popping up db. after that the derived component gets updated. it doesn't happen all of the time (not getting updated after the source file is edited) but it does happen frequently enough to get noted.
