Solved Change Linetype Scale Inside One Viewport Only Page 2 In paperspace, double click into the viewport to activate it, then do the psltscale command as previously stated. then regen. if that doesn't work set psltscale as 0, then regen. when you get what you need, double click outside the active viewport to lock it. When you change psltscale or use a command such as zoom with psltscale set to 1, objects in viewports are not automatically regenerated with the new linetype scale. use the regen or regenall commands to update the linetype scales in each viewport.
Solved Change Linetype Scale Inside One Viewport Only Page 2 Here's the current problem: the xref linetypes show up fine in the viewports, even though they're at different scales (i have psltscale=1). now, i have drawn something in model space in the sheet file. i have used the same linetype as used in the xref, but it does not show up correctly. Change the linetype of selected objects select the objects right click in the drawing area and choose properties from the shortcut menu in the properties palette click linetype and then the down arrow from the drop down list choose the linetype that you want to assign to the objects press esc to remove the selection the psltscale system. As they're often on curves, best solution (at least for my case) is probably to set up a different linetype for different scales, and set that in the viewport. that, or do it as segments, which is a pain for repeat editing, but it sounds like there's no fix all answer anyway. You can change the linetype scale of an existing object in the properties palette. the linetype scale for objects is based on both the global scale factor, and the linetype scale property.

You can change the linetype scale of an existing object in the properties palette. the linetype scale for objects is based on both the global scale factor, and the linetype scale property. When adjusting the linetype scaling for non continuous (dasshed dotted) lines in autocad, the spacing of the dashed lines cannot be matched between model space view and multiple viewports on layouts. Starting with autocad 2008, linetype scaling in model space is controlled by the variable msltscale and in paper space with psltscale. the msltscale system variable controls whether or not linetypes displayed in the model tab are scaled based on the annotation scale. Issue: after drawing a line or an object in autocad and assigning it a noncontinuous linetype (such as dashed, dotted, zigzag, etc.), the line, or object still appears as a solid or continuous line in either model space or in the paper space viewport.
