Smoothness Measure Computed From Wrongly Mapped Image Blocks And The Through the years, i have owned 5 different savage rifles, 4 built on 110 actions and the last one on a 10. various cartridges, ranging from .243 to 30 06. they have all had aftermarket barrels (douglas, criterion, mcgowan, pac nor, shilen), and they have all been spectacularly accurate using. I looked into it and one poster on a forum said something like, its built so small they gave up smoothness in mechanics which leads to loss in bolt manipulation speed.

Image Processing Measure Of Smoothness Cross Validated Hello all, i recently purchased a weatherby mark v 300 wm ultra lightweight which i had customized by removing the barrel and replacing it with a wilson match grade 3 contour barrel. my question for those of you that know actions: would you happen to know how the weatherby action on the mark. If anyone owns or has handled one of weatherbys new actions or a complete rifle i would be interested in hearing your thoughts on the quality of said action. i have been unable to put hands on one myself!thanks for your comments. Probably my next rifle purchase. color choice is a tough one. 🤔 definitely some intriguing features that has peaked my interest even more. glad i held off until the new release. It is in effect a shorter lever. 90 degree feels smoother for sure when you are running spicy loads and or heavier firing pin spring weight. that said i prefer the short throw actions. i will give up a little smoothness for less throw and no concern about objective clearance.

Does anyone have any experience with oregon mountain rifle co's titanium action? curious how it compares to lone peak's ti actions; lone peak has an integrated recoil lug while omr's is pinned. my main concern is the smoothness of the action and reliability. i believe omr is fairly new to. Second is a terminus apollo lite ti action in an xlr chassis: takeaways about these two actions: the force required to open the bolt on the terminus compared to the arc cdg is significant. there is a smoothness difference; the dlc coating on the terminus makes a difference, but there also are underlying design decisions that impact this (?) the arc cdg can "bind" more than the terminus. I've never shot any of them and only handled the impact briefly and was impressed with the bolt lift and smoothness of it. was hoping to hear from people who have shot own or handled 2 or 3 out of the 3 listed. Accuracy wise, both will shoot! but that's as far as the simularities go. build quality definitely goes to tikka! as does smoothness of running the action. i guess it boils down to this. out of the box, tikka's are really nice rifles that you don't have or want to do many modifications to. savage is a more rough building block.
