Set Movement Route Issue Character Keeps Moving Rpg Maker Mv Rpg So after editing i eventually scrapped the original event and started from scratch and despite "wait for completion" being checked, events are still moving beyond the route. I can't figure out why this is happening, but i'm trying to make a cutscene, and the set movement rout just wont move the character event.

Set Movement Route Issue Character Keeps Moving Rpg Maker Mv Rpg Custom event move route issue does it stop once it goes off screen? i guess this is the tl;dr version of my question: do events with custom, looping move routes stop doing their move routes if they go far enough off screen from where your character is? and if so, is there an easy way around this? the problem, in detail:. Update: i tried putting the move route as custom and putting the route there, and now it's working. however, this solution doesn't fit with the method i'm using, especially since i'm going to factoring minutes in later, too. Routes can be edited when used with [movement commands] that control the movement, direction, etc. of the player. for example, entering [move right], [move down], [move left], then [move up] movement commands will cause the target to move in a clockwise loop from their current location. Split the movement and dialogue into event pages. since you're already using the variable to control the dialogue, you can use it to control which page is active for the tour.

I have been working on a cutscene that has a few different movement routes defined. most of the time they work correctly, but for some reason i have a few that just aren't doing what they're told. Hello again! i just realized that one of my npc's movement route is being "disrupted" after the player interacts with the npc. i did some forum searching (and experimenting in the editor) and figured out that what's happening. The thing is, after a choice, a variable (theoretically) takes you to another event (a locked door) but after choosing an alternative, the character just takes a step forward and nothing else happens, you can't even move.
