How do you become an ncaa d1 ref? i’ve always wondered what the best route would be to become a high profile college referee taking the duke unc rivalry, msu mich, etc. do you start in high school and move up to d3 and then try to go to d1? do you have to know someone and ref with them at a low profile game and do well?. The problem is we don't have anyone to be our identity referee. i don't have friends outside of a couple ex coworkers who don't have passports and my partner's friends are not from nz. I had to wait about 4 months for a referee report in a physical review journal once one referee apparently didn't respond ("review request to referee; editor concludes response unlikely"), so they sent it to another referee (who took just under 2 months). shit happens.

Citizenship application: online 'referee declaration' i am applying for citizenship (us citizen currently), and puzzling over the 'referee declaration' bit. in the paper version of the form, the referee pages require a photograph of me, and the referee needs to fill out their own information and sign the declaration. I'm sorry, but it's a terrible plan. it's high risk, high effort, and low reward, which is the opposite of what you want. feel free to keep progressing as a referee and see how far you can get, but go to a college or vocational school and get a more desirable skill. an average computer science new graduate makes $100k, comparable to a top pro. I'm curious what some are some of the unspoken do's & don'ts of being a soccer ref? i'm not talking about "keep the players temperatures under control", i'm more talking about less obvious things that maybe people never pick up on. for example someone recently told me that refs never really venture into the box in order to stay out of the way of shots deflections. i never noticed that until. I'm a football referee and would argue it is one of the more difficult sports to be a referee as there are so many facets that influence match control. handball is a fairly uncomplicated game if you're looking for a relatively easy ride. my general advice is to go for the sport that you feel passionate about rather than looking for the fast cash.
