Problem With Preview Jerky R Premiere

Problem With Preview Jerky R Premiere Playing back sequences from the timeline, that is on the program monitor, the action is nice and even, but after rendering fast motion is jerky and wing edges on the models are sometimes pixeled. If you use a really compressed codec, like h.264 or worse h.265, there is always a problem with the playback. you need to keep in mind, that every slip through the timeline the footage have to be decompressed.

Problem With Preview Jerky R Premiere I’ve recently revamped my edit suite and i’m getting very jerky playback once i reach 10 or 20 seconds down the timeline. this is mainly apparent on my video monitor, much less noticeably (but more expectedly) on the computer screen in premiere. At the time of starting, i had no issues, though now after coming back to the project, i am experiencing strange stretching and artifacts, both in the preview window, and on export (exporting different settings and file types yields the same result). When i drag and drop a video into the perview window in premier, the video is jerky and the sound is stuttered. the original capture files are fine and play back in windows media player without any faults, but in permier they are jerky. This seems to be unique to premiere. i’m also using capcut to edit same videos, it also uses gpu decoding just like premiere but it nevers shows the glitches.

Basically what the title says, playback in program monitor is really choppy. it takes good 4 5 seconds after either pressing spacebar or play for playback to actually start, and even then it chugs after 2 3 seconds, skipping 99% of frames. Found answer to my problem "mpeg is a compressed, distribution format; not intended as an edit source" "premiere is not designed to edit mpeg video" (you'd need to convert your mpeg to avi, then edit, then export to mpeg again). Hello, this problem makes it so i absolutely cannot get any work done. when i move the cursor on the timeline, the video will skip as normal, however, while skipping or staying still, even frame by frame, the preview video will be completely glitchy. With this setting, premiere's on screen preview window shows video at a very slow frame rate sometimes as low as one frame every two seconds. this is not a fault so much as a feature and is intended to give priority to dv and, thus, prevent dropped frames and other nasties.
