P0401 Egr Insufficient Flow Youtube Everytime i start my truck within 5 min of driving it throws a cel and this is what pops up (p1404&p0404). i thought at first maybe the egr motor was shot so i replaced that and made sure the egr valve moved freely and cleaned it. and still the codes came up so then i removed (tested) and put in. P0401 exhaust gas recirculation flow insuff detected. p0404 exhaust gas recirculation circuit range performance. p0299 turbo charger underboost. all three of these codes have been coming up lately, i have cleared them all with my tuner but they come right back after a few minutes of driving. i.

If p0401 or p0404 are set and there is a customer concern of low power or black smoke, monitor the egr valve and maf sensor readings during the concern. a sticking egr valve or skewed maf sensor reading may also cause an intermittent p0401 or p0404 to set. please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step.
