Material Node Help From 2 7 To 3 4 Blender Stack Exchange I am trying to use an old blend file for a project in blender 3.4. i have most of it working, but the material is not. in 2.7 there is a material geometry node with outputs for "view" and "orco". i cannot find an equivelent node in blender 3.4. picture shows the two different setups. Ultimately, i would like something that works on curve objects sans the mesh to curve node. however, as i only need it to work on line segments, i was hoping that using mesh edges instead of curves might work better.

In blender 2.8x you have the option to switch between workspaces for particular tasks. blender already includes one for creating materials and it is called shading. the workspaces are listed as tabs in the top bar. Nodes that work with materials. The material input node outputs a single material. it can be connected to other material sockets to make using the same material name in multiple places more convenient. the material node can also be added by dragging and dropping a material data block into the node editor.
