Low Gpu Usage Low Cpu Usage Low Fps Tom S Hardware Forum My gpu usage is around 50% (rtx3080) with 4k dlss balanced, and all ray tracing enabled. tried disabling smt which didn't work, but unless i turn dlss up i never get close to full gpu utilisation, and cpu doesn't seem to be a bottleneck either. The past couple of years i've had my build, it's gotten less and less fps with every new title i play. i've tried many fixes (apart from new ram i'll get to that).

Enable hardware accelerated gpu scheduling (i had turned this off because it caused issues in another game, i can't remember which one). windows search for "gpu" to find this setting, a restart is required. The game doesn't run any better even after the day one patch. it is severely cpu limited even though it isn't utilizing the cpu much and gpu usage is low, causing low fps, for no reason. Even if i only turn on ray tracing shadows with low quality, i still get insane stutters and fps drops. i turned ray tracing completely off and get the occasional dips in the heavy areas you mentioned, but still stay above 60 fps, so it’s not bothersome.

I'm running at 1080p like any other normal game and have basically zero issues. in really specific areas i'll get a small fps drop but it's not enough to bug me. but yeah, this game also appears to be very cpu intensive. thus is the way of console focused games.
