My green laser pointer (500mw) has now got a weird hazy blur around the point. it is really annoying as i have tried cleaning the lens with cotton buds (q tips) and different cleaners but to no avail. if you have any tips on how to get rid of this please help.:(:thanks:.
Laser Pointer Modula Asia It's the green laser spots that really get you tried. if you do any burning with a laser then glasses are a must. some use some type of fog when playing with their lasers to enhance beam spot. you can light up some incense which works well also and dim the room lights a little. like member "smackitup" mentioned you should get a glass lens. I hear all this talk about the different beam modes (tem00, tem01, tem02) but what do they mean. Hey everyone. i built or assembled a purple ish laser about ten years ago with parts bought from members here. i sold it to a buddies kid a few months back and he broke it. i feel sort of bad for him and told him that i would look into the problem. i am pretty sure that he put the batteries in. I'm not into laser pointers but i do want to make something that might involve using a laser pointer so i thought i'd ask here. i want to point what i guess should be a focused beam of light, probably ir, at a fixed reflector, which would bounce the light back to the transmitter where it would. Laser safety isn't lost on me, as i did order laser glasses with my nova. my right eye is already crippled because i played around with a red laser pointer from 10 years ago as a kid, and i kept staring at the sun. i assure you that the stupidity is behind me now.
