Importing Simple Animation From Maya Not Working Unity Engine Unity

Importing Simple Animation From Maya Not Working Unity Engine Unity I am trying to import a simple maya animation file, that is a sample we are trying to import in unity. (the actual game cycles are different and heavier.) the rig we have used is done with ab autorigger and the animation is not referenced in the maya file. I imported an fbx file that contains animation into my unity project. the animation and model are of a ninja holding and drawing a sword. after importing it into unity, most parts of the animation look fine, except for the sword position.

Importing Maya Files Unity Engine Unity Discussions I have a simple low poly skinned mesh in maya smooth binded to bones with animation baked on them. the loop animation works perfectly in maya as you can see here. You really need to learn not just how to play animations, but how to create game friendly rigs. your ferris wheel isn’t working because your point constraints aren’t baked the way you expected them to be. I used to have a lot of problems with getting animations to work from maya to unity, even after starting a new project a few years later. but now i know a lot more about how this all works and i have no problems what so ever. Fix update: so i forgot to highlight the key frames on the timeline before the export to unity. this fixes my animation and my mesh no longer stretches in unity since i don’t need to enable the “import constraints” option in the inspector.

Alright i've been pulling my hair out trying to figure out why unity, regardless of version, has a weirdo tendency to not read my animations in the inspector field. so here's my process of importing animations before anyone asks: first i select skeleton hierarchy and then bake keys. I have some problems importing some animations from maya into unity. when i import some models in (with animations) the models seems to be messed up like some of the weapons are strangely flipped or floating in front of the model. Hi, i have a problem to make animation working on unity. i have a skinned character in maya, the rig is only composed of simple bones, no constraint etc… i import the model in unity and everything work fine. That was why the animation was not properly working in unity. i solved it by importing the fbx file back in maya and re binding the mesh and skeleton and re exporting it as fbx.
