The rev. yehiel curry was elected july 30 to serve a six year term as presiding bishop of the elca. the election took place during the 2025 elca churchwide assembly being held july 28–aug. 2 at the phoenix convention center. pastor curry was elected on the fifth ballot. there were 799 votes. This year's crop walk was held on february 23rd. as part of our graceful giving, we collected food for the needy to be distributed by crop walk. this is our annual walk in lakeland and the non perishable food donated will benefit talbot house and lighthouse ministries. grace collected 70 units.
