The foresight4food initiative explores how foresight – a key tool for governments, business and civil society to better understand future risks and opportunities – and scenario analysis for the global food system could be improved. The host country of this year’s workshop, bangladesh, has made tremendous progress in improving its food security and nutritional status over the last decade through integrated policies, smart investments, and agricultural incentives. 17 different cases and the stories of 48 participants from 27 countries demonstrated that foresight approaches have much to offer to the process of food systems transformation.
