Failed To Load The Jupyterlab Git Server Extension Issue 1237 I am getting this error when i open jupyter lab after installing jupyterlab git 4: failed to load the jupyterlab git server extension git command not found please ensure you have git > 2 installed. In jupyterlab, within a 'sagemaker new' space, i am able to successfully install the 'jupyterlab git' extension, both via the extensions tab (the puzzle piece tab with the menu that says pypi manager at the top) and via a lifecycle configuration script.

I really need someone to lay out the exact commands (including venv activation) required to successfully install extensions and have their corresponding ui elements show up in jupyterlab after reloading respawning the user’s server. I have installed git to use it with git bash only, so the path was not available for the jupyterlab git extension to find. once i rerun the installation like described here.
