Dual wield is only good for generating specials and performing normal attacks. two handed is better all around for opponents with low, normal, or above average defence. it's possoble to hit damage cap under low leverage using two handed. this is assuming you are using weapons that can be two handed. daggers and rods benefit more from dual wield.
