Custom Appearance Library In Default Project Not Showing Up In New In my default inventor 2015 project, i have the default appearance library pointing to my custom appearance library. when i start a new project, the custom library is gone and i have to reestablish the link via browse and activate. The reason that appearances aren’t showing is that solidworks has a predetermined hierarchy for appearances. the emphasis of this article will be on the current appearances hierarchy, including adding and deleting appearances.

Visual Appearance Not Changing In Custom Content Center Library Now we are updating to 2021 and i am of the impression it is preferred to create custom material and appearance libraries which i have done. when i add these libraries to the default project i expect that they will also be added when a new project file is created. It's better to create your own custom library through the inventor ui & then add that library to your project definition & then always save your custom materials appearance to that. If an existing custom library is not listed in the appearance library, use the add library option and browse to a common location. to do this, select the open existing library option from the icon in the lower left corner and select the add library option. The 'project' file may still reference the default 'appearance' and 'material' libraries on the local system. to change this, open the 'project' file and navigate to the 'appearance' libraries. Issue: custom active material library seems to have no materials after changing project file in inventor. appearance and material browser not opening. material drop down often does not show any material. Users reported that after adding a shared materials and appearance library to the material browser in fusion, the physical materials are available in the physical materials dialog, but the appearances are not available in the appearance override dialog.
