The cloud backup will show in the cloud backup section in settings> backup and restore (see below). this is a screenshot from my c8, notice it specifies cloud backup and c8 pro. you will be prompted to restore the radios during the migration process (second picture).

The correct migration path is to create a migration cloud backup for c8, power down the c 5, and then restore the migration backup to the c 8. this will copy the z radio data from the c 5 to the c 8. For me the c8 upgrade from the c7 was worth it. the external antenna's of the c8 resulted in more direct connections to my devices, and i have noticed some of my "problem" devices working better. Upgrading to the c8 made me feel like this was how z wave should work. the added antennas really help with connectivity and range for devices. the cloud migration process typically goes very smooth, you could be moved over and running on the new hub in a matter of 15 30 minutes.
