Niar’s robotics and automation lab is located on the innovation campus in the john bardo center. it is part of the 3dexperience center, a partnership with dassault systèmes. the lab employs 14 full time employees and more than 50 student lab technicians in applied learning positions. Unparalleled interest from students. my traditional computer science students are driven to program the robot to do e erything from dance to fold laundry. but it is not the traditional students that really surprised me so much as the overwhelming response to the robot from non traditional students: i had students from our nursing and carpentry. Many institutions introduce programs and courses in robotics. robotics courses are spread across mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and computer science departments. This course will provide an introduction to the fundamental theoretical and algorithmic principles behind robotic systems. the course will also allow students to get hands on experience through project based assignments with the crazyflie quadrotor.
