It’s worth noting that there are two flood fill tools, the vector flood fill tool in the designer persona and the flood fill tool in the pixel persona. just saying the flood fill tool could make people think that you are using the one in the pixel persona.

Once you've loaded a fill, the tool lets you flood areas formed from pre selected overlapping shapes or curves. you can drag across multiple areas to flood fill or click tap on individual areas. you can also quickly recolor individual shapes whether selected or not. Try turning hardware acceleration off in settings performance. the problem was created by nvidia and it affects more than just the affinity applications. we (non staff forum members) don’t know when it will be fixed, and serif doesn’t usually give us timescale for fixes. This is a tutorial on a very powerful new tool, the vector flood fill tool. it works with shapes and type in affinity designer but it is somewhat frustrating in the way it works and has. In affinity designer 2.0 the vector flood fill tool seems like a simple tool at first glance but can become confusing the more options you select in the context tool bar. thats why i have created the affinity designer: cheat sheet for the vector flood fill tool. If there are complex function options with the current vs flood fill tool, i'm not trying to get rid of those. i am saying the new affinity flood fill tool is a fast and easy way to create fills and there's power in that. In this tutorial, we'll learn how to use the vector flood fill tool in affinity designer. you'll be able to fill in different shapes and areas of your design.
