It's faster then inventor for most users for most of these tasks. inventor is for full 3d modeling, great for fully defining a product or tool, or adding parametric variables to a design. inventor allows assemblies that can constrain the relationships between parts. inventor has evaluation tools, (interference, draft angle, moldflow, and more).

Photo Posted By Bhupeshkumar 07sketches Architecture Design Inventor has many of the same tools as fusion, but its ui is geared more towards those familiar with traditional cad programs like solidworks and freecad. also, fusion is an always online cloud based program designed primarily for collaborative teams, whereas inventor is more offline and single user focused. Laptop for autodesk inventor hello everyone, i’m going to be buying a second laptop (first one is a mac)just to have the autodesk inventor program on it. any advice for laptop features? ie; ram, speed processor, storage or os? i would specifically only be using this laptop for this program and nothing else, any help would be greatly appreciated. There's useful books on parametric solid modeling in inventor. i teach revit and autocad at my company, so i'll kinda use my outline here, but with inventor (i was a solid modeling whiz in college with solidworks). i'm positive there are videos on these subjects i'm about to list. but you need to learn the basics first. you should first start by learning about the ui, and familiarizimg what. You can import a 3d scan "point cloud" into an inventor assembly file if the point cloud is in an autodesk recap (.rcp) file format. you will be able to make work points and planes off of the point cloud and model your parts and assemblies around your 3d scan. alternatively, recap has a scan to mesh feature to convert a point cloud into a mesh file which you could then import into inventor as.

I'm using inventor 2019, and in when creating a part, how can i measure a part of my object and make it display in feet by inches. i changed the units to feet already, but it will show as 10.25 ft, but i want it to look like 10' 1 4" when i measure. Gpu requirements does inventor work fine with any nvidia rtx graphics card or does it need to be one from the professional line up? we currently have a workstation with an rtx a2000 gpu and we now need a second one. i am wondering if a cheaper rtx 3060 or 4060 would be fine. anybody using those gpus?. No, mouse button function is hard coded. mouse button 3 is pan, shift mouse button 3 is orbit. conversely f4 mouse button 1 = orbit. you cannot reassign mouse buttons, but you can assign orbit functionality to additional keystroke combinations through tools>customize>keyboard>view.
